Each house runs its own team, its own market, and its own targets. What the Maison holds constant is the standard they are all built to.
Every house starts with the person who will use the thing, how they live, learn, and cope, and works back to the technology, never the other way around.
Design systems, infrastructure, and applied research come from the centre through Sig X Tech, so no house rebuilds what the group already knows how to make.
Houses are held, not flipped. They are funded to reach the point where they can carry their own weight, and judged on what they are worth in a decade.
A house that is still in incubation is described as such. Nothing is presented as further along than it is, to clients, to partners, or to ourselves.
Method
A house begins with a problem the Maison has lived rather than surveyed, a gap in support, a system that fails the people inside it, and a person prepared to own it.
The centre supplies capital, design, and engineering. The house supplies the judgement. The first release is deliberately small, and shipped to real users before it is announced.
Once a house stands on its own, the Maison's job changes to stewardship, protecting the standard, funding the next horizon, and keeping the house honest about its results.
The portfolio lists every house alongside the Maison's impact initiatives and the client ventures we build and operate.
