Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

Maison TergaDo wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever their abilities or the technology they use. We treat accessibility as part of how the site is built, and we keep improving it.

Standards

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had the site independently audited, so we describe it as working towards that target rather than fully conformant.

What the Site Does Today

• A "Skip to content" link is the first thing keyboard users reach on every page.
• Pages use landmarks (header, navigation, main content and footer) and a single top-level heading, so screen reader users can move around quickly.
• Text colours, including our gold accent, are chosen to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 against the backgrounds they sit on.
• Body and navigation text is set at 14 pixels or larger, and the layout adapts to phones, tablets and browser zoom.
• Links, buttons and menus can be reached and used with a keyboard, and icon-only buttons have text labels for assistive technology.
• The homepage slideshow can be paused, stops while you hover over it or move keyboard focus into it, and does not advance on its own if your device is set to reduce motion.
• Meaningful images have descriptive alternative text, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.

How We Test

We check our main pages with automated testing (axe) against the WCAG 2.2 A and AA rules, and review changes by keyboard and in desktop and mobile browsers. Automated tools find only part of the problems real people meet, so we also rely on your feedback.

Known Limitations

We have not yet completed a full manual review with screen readers. A few pages are still being brought in line with the points above, and linked third-party sites, including the websites of our houses, are outside this statement. We are working through the remaining pages and will update this statement as we go.
